Foxes Manor
Foxes Manor is the oldest house in the village, the main building dating back nearly four hundred years, and the 'new' wing being added about a hundred years later. The house retains nearly all its original oak beams and floorboards, plus four substantial open fireplaces, two of which are available for guests to use. With the inclusion of mullioned stone windows, oak paneling, and a priest's hole you have one of the most intriguing and evocative Jacobean houses in the region. The house stands in its own tranquil stone-walled garden overlooking by a two hundred year old yew tree yet is just two minutes walk from the heart of the village.
